Our Staff
Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care, and we strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars. Our team travels across the nation for classes and conferences (such as the annual SureSmile Conference) to continue our education and learn the best ways to utilize our ever expanding technologies.
Adrienne
Clinical Assistant and Inventory Coordinator
Adrienne assists Dr. Underwood in the clinic, helps with SureSmile™ procedures, and takes inventory and orders supplies for the clinic. She loves chatting with patients and parents and seeing their beautiful smiles transform. Adrienne has two dogs, Reggie and Cali. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, shopping, traveling, and skiing. She also recently completed her first triathlon!
Amanda
Treatment Coordinator
Amanda meets with all our new patients during their initial consultation to explain all their treatment options. She wants you to enjoy your time in our office and has fun with patients during their consultation. Her favorite part of working here is meeting new, unique people every day. Amanda has two daughters, Baylee and Kennedy. She loves to bake, play with her kids, and travel.
Angie
Lab Technician
Angie has almost 14 years of experience working in the dental field and enjoys her role as a lab tech for Dr. Underwood. She is responsible for making our patients’ retainers, palatal expanders, and study models. She mostly works behind the scenes, but she loves seeing all our patients’ happy smiles. Angie and her husband, Ron, have three dogs, Bud, Jardon, and Duke. She enjoys camping, bowling, rooting for the Bengals and the Ohio State University football, and going to Dayton Dragon baseball games.
Jamie
Clinical Assistant and Clinical SureSmile™Coordinator
Jamie assists Dr. Underwood in the clinic where she specializes in SureSmile™. Jamie has worked in orthodontics for 11 years and enjoys working with patients and getting to know them. She especially likes working with Dr. Underwood and sees his work as an inspiration. Jamie and her husband, Chris, have one child, CJ, and an American Eskimo named Jazmine. Her free time is spent scrap-booking and with her family.
Jodi
Scheduling Coordinator
Jodi works in our front office where she schedules appointments, answers the phone, and helps patients check in and out. She greets each patient she meets with a friendly smile and always looks forward to catching up on their lives. She does everything she can to make sure our patients have a positive experience. Jodi’s husband’s name is Mike and they have two children, Noah and Jordyn. Their dogs, cat, horse, and parrot round out their household. Jodi enjoys horseback riding and showing, coaching her daughter’s softball team, and cheering on her son at his go-kart races.
Lisa
Brace Buddy Club Coordinator and Treatment Coordinator
Lisa has the fun job of meeting with Brace Buddy patients in Powell and new patients in Marysville. She walks patients through their consultations and observation appointments, monitoring their progress, and recommending treatment when the time is right. Lisa and her husband, Gary, have two daughters, Renee and Danielle, and a dog named Brutus. She enjoys baking, reading, and traveling, especially to Nashville for the Country Music Festival.
Julie
Scheduling and Insurance Coordinator
Julie supervises the front desk and files and follows up on insurance claims. It is her goal to make each patient feel like a visit to our office is the best part of their day. She is very helpful and can answer any questions our patients might have. Julie is married to Leland and they have two children, Eric and Caroline, and a dog named Mocha. In her free time, Julie enjoys going to horse shows and watching hockey.
Mahala
Clinical Assistant
Mahala can be found in our clinic working alongside Dr. Underwood with patient care. She is very friendly and loves to get to know patients personally. Her favorite thing is seeing a patient’s confidence improve as their treatment progresses. When she’s not in the office, Mahala enjoys reading, jogging, and spending time with family and friends.
Melissa
Scheduling Coordinator
Melissa has worked for Dr. Underwood for ten years, answering the phones, greeting patients and parents, and helping out wherever she is needed! She has a lot of fun working here, from her daily interactions with our patients to the food and music filled Patient Appreciation Day we host every year. Melissa is married to Chad and they have one son named Kaleb. She enjoys horseback riding, hiking, and traveling, and is very active in her church and youth ministry.
Morgan
Marketing and SureSmile™Coordinator
Morgan is responsible for so many exciting things in our office, including creating patient contests, coordinating sponsorships and community outreach, managing social media outlets, and SureSmile™ administration. She enjoys finding ways our office can make a positive difference in the lives of our patients and in our local community. Morgan has two cats, Creedence and Bubs. She loves cooking new things, going to museums, and relaxing with a good book.
Nicole
Clinical Coordinator
Nicole assists Dr. Underwood, works with our patients in the clinic, and makes sure everyone is as comfortable as possible when getting their braces on, off, or adjusted. She loves talking with our patients and getting to know them on a personal level. Most of all, she loves seeing their beautiful smiles. Nicole and her boyfriend, Barry, are expecting their first child next spring. She enjoys watching sports and spending time with her family.
Nikki
Clinical Assistant
Nikki assists Dr. Underwood with patient care. For Nikki, the best part of working here is seeing patients make progress during their treatment and seeing how excited and proud they are when treatment is complete and the braces come off. Nikki is married to Ryan and they have three children, Jeriah, Caeden, and Brody. When she’s not with her family, Nikki plays soccer on an adult co-ed team and enjoys reading.
Tamie
Office Administrator
Tamie is responsible for our office’s financial business and human resources. Once in a while she works in the clinic, but mostly she is available to patients if they have questions about their accounts or payments. She enjoys that her days are always different but the compassion and caring found in the office always stays the same. Tamie has two grown children and she and her husband, Kirk, have the best dog ever named Bailey. Her free time is spent playing golf, spending time with friends and family, doing projects at home, and shopping with her daughter.
Tara
Records Technician
Tara takes all necessary X-rays, photos, and impressions for our patients, as well as performs retainer checks. She is known for telling jokes and making our patients’ experience fun and relaxed. She often sees our patients before they begin treatment, so it is a special treat for Tara to see all the amazing changes our patients go through. Tara’s fiancé’s name is Michael and they have a dog named Penny. She spends her free time shopping, hanging out with friends and family, swimming, playing soccer, and running.
Teré
Treatment Coordinator
Teré has almost 14 years of experience in the dental profession and works with our team as a treatment coordinator. She meets and greets new patients during their first appointment, assists Dr. Underwood with the initial exam, presents treatment and financial information, and makes financial arrangements. Teré loves to watch as our patients’ confidence increase as their smiles transform. Teré and her husband, Steve, have three children, Alex, Max, and Zach, and a grandchild named Jude. She also has a terrier named Heidi. Outside the office Teré enjoys reading, walking, and spending time with her family.
